!Koliko je rekreacije potrebno za dug život?

Osim što su izmerili brzinu svetlosti, Plankovu konstantu, udaljenost između planeta Sunčevog sistema, dužinu trepavica fetusa starog 28 nedelja i mnoge druge, manje ili više fascinantne stvari, naučnici su precizno izmerili i koliko bi jedna osoba trebalo da se rekreira kako bi ostala zdrava i bila dugovečna.

Upravo je jedan januarski broj magazina “New Scientist” posvećen toj temi, a naučnici koji se bave ovom oblašću otkrili su svoje zaključke: odrasla osoba nedeljno treba da provede najmanje 150 minuta lagano vežbajući, ili 75 minuta “živahno”. To je dovoljno da produžite život, ostanete “fit” i održavate mišiće u dobroj formi. Naravno, to je minimum koji preporučuje Svetska zdravstvena organizacija, ali uz napomenu da mnogo više zdravstvene koristi imaju oni koji provedu duplo duže vremena nedeljno vežbajući.

U ove lagane vežbe spada, osim konvencionalne rekreacije, na primer rad u bašti, pešačenje, kao i poslovi po kući poput usisavanja i ribanja poda. Studija sprovedena u 2017. godini u 17 država u kojoj je učestvovalo više od 130.000 ljudi pokazala je da je pešačenje do posla kao i obavljanje ovakvih kućnih poslova tokom 150 minuta nedeljno sasvim dovoljno da smanji rizik od prerane smrti za 28 odsto.

Takođe je uočeno da jednaku korist imaju oni koji su tokom nedelje pasivni, ali za vikend nadoknade svoju dozu aktivnosti. Čak i oni koji su samo vikendom bili aktivni i to kraće od famoznih 150 minuta, bili su daleko boljeg zdravstvenog stanja nego oni koji uopšte nisu vežbali.

A šta je previše vežbe? Toga, po ovim naučnicima, izgleda nema. Ključ je u tome da ne preterujete svaki put. Problem je što previše vežbe uzrokuje česte povrede. Idealna mera je vežbanje tri do pet puta nedeljno, i to kroz raznovrsne aktivnosti.

Then you can go back to your partner and reveal why you’re an idiot, and apologize (sincerely) and that person can do the same for you, and then apologize (sincerely), and then you two idiots will be able to talk again. Perhaps that is true prayer: the question, “What have I done wrong, and what can I do now to set things at least a little bit more right?” But your heart must be open to the terrible truth. You must be receptive to that which you do not want to hear. When you decide to learn about your faults, so that they can be rectified, you open a line of communication with the source of all revelatory thought. Maybe that’s the same thing as consulting your conscience. Maybe that’s the same thing, in some manner, as a discussion with God.
